I had a chance to spend several days with the Dices project (https://github.com/cwf2/dices) -- a fabulous effort for many reasons. I write here because:
Dices has published metadata about speakers in 35 or so Greek and Latin epics. we have not gotten around to doing this for Homer, much less for 33 other epics! The data is available as TSV in the repository.
Chris Forstall tells me that he has been working on Nonnos and could update it so we can get it into Scaife.
There is a big opportunity here for Dices and for the New Alexandria commentary platform: https://oc.newalexandria.info/
Some quick notes:
Charles Pletcher is helping Lisa Cerrato and the rest of us get more textual data and commentary into Perseus. Lisa has a complicated schedule but Charles might be able to talk with Chris as part of his work with us.
Chris should also talk with Lenny Muellner and Charles about the New Alexandria Commentary platform, which would be of immediate interest to this group.
