Open Quasar settings in Kodi and save them (to initialize default settings). Then try again.
I have opened the settings and saved them to default. Quasar is no longer crashing however the subheadings and search functions under the movies and tv tab are still not working.

It was not starting at all, because of missing settings. So you need to post new log file to find the reason.

Thanks for all the help
Looks like you have some port mapping/UPnP errors @rahimf50 - is UPnP blocked/turned off on your router?
I'm not sure. How would I check for this? I doubt it because it was working just fine last week and then just stopped.
I just confirmed that UPnp is enabled on both my router and computer @philwolstenholme @elgatito
I am making some progress I can go into the trending section and it loads a list but then when I click next it stalls.

Quasar can't bind ports. Firewall or security limitations?
I do not have a firewall setup or security limitations other than what come with Windows 10
In the end, I reinstalled Kodi/Librelec and Quasar and now it's working fine (I was having similar problems to you before).

Quasar has been timing out when trying to use any of the sub headings under TV or Movies such as trending or popular. That is if Quasar starts, it has also been crashing upon startup which may be the cause of the timeouts.
Expected Behavior
List of trending movies or tv shows appears when heading is clicked
Current Behavior
Quasar times out after clicking on any of the sub headings ie. trending
Possible Solution
Steps to Reproduce (for bugs)
Context
I am unable to search for particular popular shows
Your Environment
Kodi 17 Quasar version 9.78 for windows x64 Windows 10
