Even though it is not easy to follow this one (it took me a while to understand what is going on), I like it because it tricked me, since I wasn't aware of the unseen implicit parameter.

LGTM.

Glad it turned out to be non-intuitive, but are there any suggestions you might have for making it easier to understand? Using a context bound vs. a view bound would be one option, but I had a hard time coming up with a good sample then (we tried the Ordering one, if you recall ;-) )

@demobox not really, unfortunately. I guess not every puzzler can be or should be possible to understand in a minute or two, so I wouldn't be shy about publishing this one.
