what needs to be done for effective open source contribution

Issues:

• Look for issues labeled as "good-first-issue" or "help wanted" in repositories. These are ideal for contributors who are new to the project.
• If you want to make some changes not specified in any issues or you find any bug, first create a new issue and wait until it's assigned to you.

Pull Requests (PRs):

• Provide clear and descriptive names for your pull requests that reflect the changes made.
• Make PR titles and meaningful description that explain the purpose of your changes.
• Review your own PR before you assign it to others.

Branches:

• Give your feature branch a clear name and use hyphen or slash as seperators.
• Git branch with authors names.

Useful Points Noted:

• Create a separate repository for each project you work on. This practice ensures organization and clarity.
• Regularly sync your branches with the upstream repository to stay up-to-date with the latest changes.
• comment on it and say you are working on that issue to avoid conflicts with others also working on the issue.
