Challenge 24 : Search for good first issues to make contributions

Status : Currently looking for issues that I am able to contribute to. I explored many issues but mostly people had listed complex issues which are , as of now , beyond my contributing knowledge. I will soon update this when I find a suitable issue to contribute.

Challenge 27 -

My Tips For Hacktoberfest 2022

Best practices when participating in Hacktoberfest.

Register anytime between September 26 and October 31 Pull requests can be made in any GITHUB or GITLAB hosted project that’s participating in Hacktoberfest Have 4 pull/merge requests accepted between October 1 and October 31 to complete Hacktoberfest

PULL/MERGE REQUEST DETAILS

(i) pr/mrs must be within the bounds of hacktoberfest. (ii) repos that go against hacktoberfest’s values will be excluded from qualification and pr/mrs made to those repos won’t count. (iii) pr/mrs must not be spammy. (iv) pr/mrs must be in a repo tagged with the “hacktoberfest” topic, or be labeled “hacktoberfest-accepted.” (v) pr/mrs must not be labeled as “invalid”. (vi) pr/mrs must be merged, have the “hacktoberfest-accepted” label, or have an overall approving review. (vii) once pr/mrs pass all the checks above, it will be accepted for hacktoberfest after the 7-day review period.

Challenge 28

After creating the last PR, mentors of that repo are still reviewing my changes and I'm getting Positive responses. They even requested changes which I have done. Now for hacktober fest I have got some repos to contribute and currently I have been assigned an issue in one of the repo, for which I will be creating a PR soon.

Challenge 30:

I've completed all the challenges.

Hacktoberfest

I'm excited about Hacktoberfest. I will try to contribute beyond the Hacktoberfest.

Experience of this initiative.

It was a great initiative. Special thanks to Scaler Team for organizing it for beginner.

I've learnt lot of new things from this Open-Source challenge. Like most common used cmds for git, GitHub pages, GitHub gist etc.

This challenge helped me to learn so many basic commands of GitHub not just for personal work level, but also for some professional level (For team projects).

Each challenge was very helpful and 80% of them were new to me, I am glad that now I can use my learnings while contributing to projects.

Thank you, Scaler Discord Team.
