BRANCH :

• Branch is a very important part of github contribution, by default there is one master branch.

Git Branching Naming Convention:

• Try to add your username there, but avoid giving it a long, descriptive name.
• Branch names should contain a group words, such as bug or WIP (Work in progress).
• Branch names should include unique IDs.
• For easier readability, use a hyphen or a slash as a separator.

PR :

• use the present imperative tense
• Give your PR a meaningful description
• Before making a pull request, review the modifications.
• Try to include screenshots of the things you added in action.

• ISSUES :

• If you are a beginner, always start with a good-first-issue tagged issue.
• Avoid long descriptive names
• Create only meaningful issues

Search for good-first-issues to make contributions.
Status: Currently looking for issues that I am able to contribute to. My tech stacks include C++, Javascript, and Explored quite some issues, but felt that most of the issues were beyond my contributing knowledge . Will update as soon as I find an issue to contribute to.

Tips for Hacktoberfest 2022

Rules TO PARTICIPATE AND COMPLETE HACKTOBERFEST:

• Register anytime between September 26 and October 31

• Pull requests can be made in any GITHUB or GITLAB hosted project that’s participating in Hacktoberfest (look for the “hacktoberfest” topic)

• Project maintainers must accept your pull/merge requests for them to count toward your total

• Have 4 pull/merge requests accepted between October 1 and October 31 to complete Hacktoberfest

• The first 40,000 participants (maintainers and contributors) who complete Hacktoberfest can elect to receive one of two prizes: a tree planted in their name, or the Hacktoberfest 2022 t-shirt.

• Choose a repositry in which you can make PR with your current knowledge

• But Dont make irrelevent PRs just for completing 4 PRs .Remember the Quote "QUANTITY IS FUN, QUALITY IS KEY"

• AVOID SUBMITTING LOW-QUALITY PULL/MERGE REQUESTS.

• PULL/MERGE REQUESTS MUST BE APPROVED BY A MAINTAINER .

• Completed all the challenges of the scaler september opensource .
• I only knew few basic command of git earlier But with these challenges I learnt git and Github in detail.
• Registered for Hacktoberfest 2022 will try to make more PRs.
