Challenge 23

Things that I've learned about contributing to open sources effectively:

Issues We can find issues relevant to our interests by using labels, which also helps us to know if the problem is something we can work on. Usually, good-first-issues labels are good to start for someone who has just started with open source. If we want to make some changes not specified in any issues, we have to create a new issue stating what we want to change with a proper description

Pull Request Write appropriate commit messages and pr descriptions. Describe the work correctly in your PR It's better to review my PR by myself than assign it to others

Branches The important branches in any project are the Main - Stable version. Development - Where all the changes take place. QA - Where all the testing takes place. The branches we will be working on must be named per a standard. For example, the branch name can include words like bug, fix, WIP, etc, the issue it will solve, author name, etc. The name of these branches should match the naming convention of the rest of the team.

Challenge 24

After searching for a handful number of projects, I have found one project to which I can contribute & I have asked the maintainers to get me assigned to the issue. Waiting for the maintainer's reply image

Challenge 25

Waiting for the maintainer's reply. I have worked on Bootstrap but never used tailwind CSS, so I have started learning Tailwind as the issue is related to the Tailwind framework.

Some Tips: We need to make sure the repository has the "Hacktoberfest" label before contributing. We should avoid submitting low-quality pull requests/spammy PRs.

Challenge 30 Finally, I've completed all the challenges of the Scaler September Open Source challenge. Prior to this event, I didn't have much knowledge about the open source world. Through this program, I've learned a lot about Git, Github & Open Source Communities. I am very thankful to Scaler academy for organizing this type of event which helps us to learn a lot of things along with that you can earn cool swags.

Thank you @shivaylamba for all tasks which have helped me to learn a lot of new things & also thanks to @kuraakhilesh8230 , @DaltonDeven & Scaler Community for the feedback & review.

Looking forward to implementing the learnings in HacktoberFest 🔥
