→💻 Things that I've learned about contributing to open sources effectively :

•Create and use a repository •Start and manage a new branch •Make changes to a file and push them to GitHub as commits •Open and merge a pull request

⚠️Issues:

• Comment on it and say you're working on that issue, to avoid conflicts with others while also working on it.
• Have a clear purpose while creating a new issue.
• GitHub issue associated with the relevant repository

🌿Branch:

• Avoid long descriptive names.
• The branch name should have a Group word like bug/WIP.
• Branch with Author Name.
• Use Unique ID in branch names.
• Use short names for branches These can be categorized into Regular Branching and Temporary Branching

🔃Pull Request:

• The pull request created should be descriptive of the problem being solved.
• Link PR to the issue if you are solving one.
• Review changes before creating a pull request.
• Give commits and PRs active and descriptive titles.
• The changes should be reviewed and tested before creating a pull request.

➯I have successfully completed the Scaler-open-source-sep challenge organized by Scaler-discord-community. I will continue my open source journey and will first time contribute in Hacktoberfest, excited and hoping for the best. As I was a beginner to GitHub so I didn't have even the basic knowledge of using GitHub, but due to these challenges only I was able to learn and understand many new and important things.
