The Symbiota2 project is an open source software project, with central goal of developing on-line tools that aid in the generation, exploration and management of biodiversity data (collection specimens, observations, images, checklist, keys, etc.). OK, looping our Collections manager into this conversation. I am updating the particular taxonomy that came out in the 2021 paper. But if you could, make sure new administrator for SCAN has this – pulling current taxonomy from WSC to SCAN – on her to-do list.-
I am updating some taxonomy (spider) in SCAN based on a paper that came out in 2021:"https://zookeys.pensoft.net/" This taxonomy is reflected in the World Spider Catalog. I thought SCAN minions had worked out a mechanism for regularly updating the SCAN lexicon directly from WSC; but, apparently, that is not happening. Is this done manually? Or has this just been dropped for some reason?
