Why is there not sample rate (field) in meta data (e.g. EEG meta data)

As the title says, why? Or it implicitly shows that we get the field in other means?

Hi, that's because the sample rate is already in the header of every stream (https://github.com/sccn/xdf/wiki/Specifications#streamheader-chunk), so it's not repeated in the modality-specific metadata.
