I'm wondering if there's any utility in calculating a "footprint" data product which is simply the mean frame of a data cube where all valid pixels are 1 and all invalid pixels are 0. This is valuable for FastPDI stuff because of the rectangular field, but I'm also wondering if there's statistical uses of this when collapsing data.
