"failed to import extension hggit" on OS X 10.10

Every time I run the hg program on OS X 10.10.5, I get this Python error printed at the top:

*** failed to import extension hggit: 'module' object has no attribute 'readpats'

Seems to be an issue with hg-git. Any idea what's going on here?

This error has been occurring for several months now. I'm using the latest MacPorts versions of Hg and Hg-Git.
