Using Pure with Steam Deck #470

Just got bunch of questions, sorry if questions should be asked elsewhere.

  1. I attempted to add Star Control 1, 2, and Dangerous Dave, but only the first game appeared in the RetroArch list. Why weren't the other games automatically detected? Is this due to a faulty distribution or are they not in the database? Where can I check this database? Or could this be more of a RetroArch issue rather than a Pure issue?

  2. Where can I find a list of games that have gamepad-supported schemes?

  3. Is there a special Pure version for the Steam Deck, or is it not necessary?

Thanks!

  1. That's RetroArch related. Within RA try going to Import Content > Manual Scan. You don't have to select every option in there, just point it to the correct folder and set as many other options as you can and do the scan. It will create a playlist, and if the game names are wrong you can go to the RetroArch > playlists folder and open the DOS playlist file in any text editor and change the names.

  2. Almost any game should work on a gamepad with the Pad Mapper. Just press down the left analog stick to bring up the on-screen keyboard and use the shoulder buttons to navigate to to the Pad Mapper. You can map any key to a gamepad.

  3. There isn't a DOSBox-Pure version for it. I don't have a Steam Deck but i'd assume the Linux version will work.
