SkillLevel property in Course #84

The Bioschemas group have been reviewing Course/CourseInstance to see if there are any improvements we can make for use in short academic courses. Our recommendation is to add a new property 'skillLevel' described as;

The learners expected level of ability in the topic being taught. Skill levels can be ‘beginner’, ‘intermediate’ or ‘advanced’

of type DefinedTerm or Text or URL

We think it would be helpful in order to discern whether a course is appropriate for a learner.

You can specify this with an educationalAlignment to and AlignmentObject with targetName of beginner/intermediate/advance. However for the development of EducationalOccupationalCredential this was seen as too roundabout and stretching the meaning of alignment to an educational framework, hence the simpler approach.
