Political Alliances, Treaties, and Trade Blocs #85

Greetings,

I am wondering if anywhere in the schemaorg project things like political alliances treaties, military partnerships, or trade blocs have been modeled. At some level some of these are organizations, or have organizations supporting them. For instant the Schengen area is a "thing"; NAFTA is also a "thing", and NATO is also a "thing", all these things have member states, dates, supporting treaties... so I am looking for two pointers:

  1. Where in the schemaorg project are these things and their descriptions being discussed? (sub community)
  2. does anyone know of any other RDF/Ontology like projects focusing on these sorts of Political science based entities....

Schema.org has an AdministrativeArea entity. https://schema.org/AdministrativeArea

For more specific specifications of grouping of countries, suggest you look at the FAO's Geopolitical ontology. http://www.fao.org/countryprofiles/geopolitical-ontology/download/en/ https://old.datahub.io/dataset/fao-geopolitical-ontology
