Under some circumstances it may be desirable to have a non constant time.

Examples:

a website uses a simple system to detect bots and blocks them
should many users watch a single website this distributes load better

It would be great to have setting for this. E.g. set percentage by which the waiting time is randomized.

I don't really see the second point, as each user started watching the page at a different time, and so the recurring scans are also distributed. Still I'll consider it, it should be quite easy to implement. Did you think of a global setting or per-page?
