Having no clear way to comment on posts for edits or see their evolution seems a little broken to me. I can think of 2 routes to fix this:

programmatically backing them via git to a repo
- text would still be saved in db
- would need to associate with a list of diff URL's, or just a link to the gist
- this could be done in gists
- attribute changes in the commit comment
gdocs integration
- better medium for editting
- working with markdown might be painful

@danrschlosser, interested in the concept?
