cannot use "htc sync" to connect to internet

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. plug the usb cable to ph and pc
2. ph screen pops up selection
3. there are only 4 selections: charge only, htc sync, disck driver, usb 
tethering. there is no 5th choice "internet transfer"

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
There is no "internet transfer", which use pc's internet.

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
134r version. very latest one.

Please provide any additional information below.

why should it be "internet transfer" ?
is it possible on other phones?

you can find the top thread: "they only have charge only, htc sync, disk drive, 
usb tethering and internet pass through."
that's 5 options.

Basiclly, I want to plus usb cable, then htc mini can browse the internet 
through PC. Could you have a look? Thanks,
