HTC sense android.htc.startup "hangs" (r 169)

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Start Haret (first time whitout SIM) is very slow (hangs from time to time)
2. After a period (5 minutes) I receive te message 
Aplication HTC Sense (proces.com.htc.launcher) unexpected stop, try again 
(translated from Dutch language)
3. When I startup with SIM(installatiion took a long time) after some time te 
phone dies/freezes (no reaction at all from the power button) so i have to 
remove the battery to startup again.

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
A touch screen I can use, instead of a black screen.

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
Release 169 on HTC HD mini (Software 5.2.23103) Windows Mobile
ROM version 1.09.404.1 (86086) NLD
Protocol version 32.28.05.05U 

Please provide any additional information below.

I use a Kingston SD 4 Gb

update your WM ROM with a stock one (including a radio update)
On first boot the device will be slow because the system is created and tons of 
apps and services will be installed.. this is normal behavior
