Unconventional sound design principles in the timer sound options. I'd be curious to see how many users are electing to be blasted out of their seat by the Train Horn option at the end of their 25 minutes. Electronic Chime is very appropriate and good. Would it be possible to consider replacing some of the various horns and noisemakers with expanded options like Electronic Chime and some of the bells? Heh, yeah, it's mostly just a lack of time. I chose the existing ones because they were the first I found and all free to use, usually public domain or CC-licensed.

The first link you provided has some CC-licensed sounds that would work well. I'm more than happy to add more notification sounds, I just don't have time to procure them. If you find some you like and can link me to them with licensing info, I'll definitely add them.
