Archive file format #25

At the moment, the output file doesn't have its final format. Because this archive file format is an essential part of the project, it's open for discussion. There's a wiki page with drafts for all parts of the format and a Gitter chat room where things can be discussed.

Is there any reason why not basing it on FreeArc with backward compatibility? Thinking future proof - the archivers which are used the most, are the most developed and vise-versa. The archivers that survives the long run should be double looked.

I'm not sure but I think FreeArc is based on the ancient arc?

What are the pros/cons on using it for fairytale?
