There are several random cleanups, lints and minor typo fixes in this PR.

Normally they would not be grouped together - but they are fairly innocent. Feel free to take all or cherry-pick.

NOTE: This does not adjust any of the draft markdown at this point so 'no code changes' to the working draft.
