Jesus, I'm bad at creating a PR. Essentially one line of CSS does the trick. May have saved you a whole minute of doing it yourself.

Seems like they have already fixed the latest beta. I can see the checkboxes in the options page just fine. Firefox Beta is buggy. However, they usually fix these sorts of bugs before the release version.
