But what do the privacy settings MEAN?! #70

I'm not about to change a privacy setting without understanding its impact. Other users may be less cautious, and get themselves into trouble! Surely each setting needs either a clear explanation, or a permanent and stable link to such a thing? Edit: Tagging dev @schomery.

Only a few descriptions are missing: User Timing API Resource Timing API netinfo browser.safebrowsing.downloads.remote.enabled media.peerconnection.ice.default_address_only

Also it's unclear what relationship dom.enable_performance has to datareporting.healthreport.service.enabled and datareporting.healthreport.uploadEnabled

Of course most of the advanced settings are unexplained, with "more info" leading here, where there may or may not be an explanation of the privacy issue.

Here's a start. Search for missing descriptions there.

Thank you both!

@cw337 - I'm not sure what you mean by "only a few descriptions are missing". From my perspective, they ALL are!

@Atavic - thanks for the links - as you say, "a start".

The most comprehensive Firefox privacy and security settings collection has been updated.

It has a lot of comments inside: https://github.com/ghacksuserjs/ghacks-user.js
