The compiler should chalilah not compile on Shabbos Kodesh or Yom Tov. Consider inserting a datetime check on the user's timezone before processing output and possibly adding a shabbos_goy flag.

I don't even have a hava minah that someone would compile on Shabbos, chas vesholom.

I'm not maskim. I could use soft version of a shabbes clock or start compilation before shkia.

How about it should automatically insert in all programs that it compiles (as part of the generated machine code) a check that it is not Shobbas? We can even have code that should check if it is running by a scheduler in which case it should allow. But then we will have an issue with the timezones, but this can be configured based on the current local or use a GPS, but how about code in the cloud? On the Space Shuttle? But we also need to handle the different Shitos on the Zman of Erev and Motza, unless we use the current GPS coordinates to calculate if 3 stars would be seen from this location.
