Carp::croak adds a "." to the message (I don't know since which version), so is is not appropriate.

I can't reproduce this, but I've seen this type of problem before. This sounds like a problem due to an older version of Carp. What version of Perl and Carp do you have please?

Sorry for the noise. When I tried to install Mojolicious::Plugin::Libravatar some weird things are happening (e.g. it doesn't try to install the latest version of Gravatar::URL) that led to the errors.
