I need to write code to calculate areas on pine needles/fascicles. Note that data is in two places: CN-leaves-pines-dimensions.csv and CN-leaves-pines-dimensions-special-cases.csv. Regarding the latter, here is the info from the commit msg, 6160fe3f01bd05e188c4e4024fdd701f3ba227c7
Pine needle dimensions incorrectly measured. This data will need special
treatment in order to calculate areas.
Dog Canyon, GUMO
sample date: 09/13/2014, 09/14/2014
measured date: 09/15/2014
measured and by Xiulin Gao
Columns:
tag, spcode, diam1, diam2, length: Same meanings as in
CN-leaves-pines-dimensions.csv
used.fascicle: 1 or NA. 1 indicates that row represents measurements
on fascicle, exactly as in usual data in
CN-leaves-pines-dimensions.csv
used.needle: NA, or number. Number indicates that row represents
measurements on a single needle, not a fascicle. Number greater than 1
indicates that many needles should all have same measurements.
needles.per.fascicle: same meaning as in
CN-leaves-pines-dimensions.csv.
