Just need some clarification on this:

• What do you mean by layouts?

Layout dictate how each page is structured. The home page has its own layout called default defined in _layouts/default.html. All the layout files are available in _layouts/. We can choose the article to be in different layouts. Currently we have post and notebook layouts. The width of article body in post layout is smaller than that of notebook layout. We have planned two more layouts research (scientific article-like layout) and visual layout (visual articles like r2d3). Follow #6.

• What do you mean by front matter

This is the front matter.
