RIO Journal #9

Open chartgerink opened 7 years ago

chartgerink commented 7 years ago

RIO journal by default has XML and is as easy as resolving the doi and adding /download/xml :-)

@chartgerink in addition to XML, we also need the associated assets (figure images, supp materials etc). Do you know if we can grab all that stuff in one bundle easily?

Also, do they have a feed or API for finding the latest updates?

chartgerink commented 7 years ago

Hm I don't know, there must be a systematic way of doing it but don't know about API. Pinging @rmounce and @Daniel-Mietchen who know more :100:

rmounce commented 7 years ago

I believe you mean @rossmounce

blahah commented 7 years ago

@chartgerink I assume RIO deposits to PMC, so the bundles will be available from there. There's reasonable question of whether it's easier to just pull it from there and have it as one of the #1 of #8 sources?

rossmounce commented 7 years ago

Unfortunately I don't think PMC hasn't accepted RIO yet. RIO would deposit there if it was allowed to.

blahah commented 7 years ago

@rossmounce has it been submitted? anything we can do to support it?

rossmounce commented 7 years ago

I thought we had, but I better check... brb (may take days...)
