If we were sure this were always used for "photographer credit", we might want a "credit" field instead of a "caption" field, and just put eg Michael Grace-Martin
in it instead of credit: Michael Grace-Martin.
.
But figuring out what the data looks like and then possibly transforming it is another step.
@eddierubeiz Can you easily make a list of all non-blank "Image Caption" field values, so we can see what's in there?

Creating for Oral Histories migration, although it will be metadata on any Asset.
Stakeholders decided we will just go ahead and add a "Caption" field.
caption field exists for portraits field in microsite, how to handle it in Digital Collections data migration
Visit the Roald Hoffman OH metadata form at https://oh.sciencehistory.org/node/7682/edit, and note a small piece of metadata entitled
Image Caption
whose contents readcredit: Michael Grace-Martin
. Presumably this is a photographer credit for Hoffman's headshot.I'd feel bad about not importing
image caption
, but if we do, we should make a decision about where it would go.Just making a note of this so we can come back to it later.
