After merge, use imports:

terraform import aws_ses_domain_identity.sciencehistory sciencehistory.org
terraform import aws_ses_domain_dkim.sciencehistory sciencehistory.org

I _think- this is pretty easy -- I'm going to put it in "Ready" and assign to Eddie -- if you investigate and find it's not a 1-2 hour task, feel free to move it to backlog.
