Some IRs in our consortium are uploading citations to their sites, and they would like the option to either toggle default icons on/off or set different default icons by work type. Right now, their catalog search shows the default icon for all work types, which visually suggests that every work in the repository is the same, but they have conference items, general works, journal articles, and published works. There's nothing visually to differentiate these work types, since no files are uploaded and thumbnails are missing. Can the icon be made modifiable?
