Will this require an upgrade to 4? What do we need for iiif to view 3d models? reference manifests as examples - put into viewer as is to see what happens?

We will then need to be able to generate this manifest.

We may or may not need to upgrade the viewer.

@jillpe is this blocked//waiting for client communication?

jillpe commented 1 year ago

Per client meeting 2023-03-07: This piece of work is blocked by a total UV upgrade and will not be included in this grant of work

Hi @jillpe I don't have notes about removing the 3D stuff, in fact we just discussed the file types and whether they'd need to be outside of zip files the other day on slack... i don't think i realised that this couldn't be achieved without a full upgrade of UV (also is that what would happen with the quote for UV stuff that we are waiting for @cziaarm to send?)

jillpe commented 1 year ago

Hi @j-basford so sorry for the confusion and for not explaining the steps to implement 3D well. The team found that in order for 3D models to actually be viewable in the UV, the UV needs to be upgraded to 4.0.17, so yes we will include that in the quote for the UV upgrade estimate
