Summary

Ability to migrate the current content models we have in Islandora into acceptable content models in Hyrax/Hyku.

Acceptance Criteria

Migrate Images

Migrate Books

[ ] As an admin user, I can import book work types and the metadata is imported and saved in the correct format To do:
- [ ] Derivative Rodeo configuration
- [ ] Update IIIF print to work with derivative rode and to test and reconfigure
- [ ] import derivatives (derivative rodeo)
- [ ] import processing speeds (derivative rodeo)

Migrate PDFs

[ ] As an admin user, I can import PDF work types and the metadata is imported and saved in the correct format
[ ] PDF files are available for download on the file work show page and a thumbnail is present (does not load in UV)

Migrate Audio

[ ] As an admin user, I can import audio work types and the metadata is imported and saved in the correct format
[ ] Audio transcripts are in the manifest

Migrate Video

[ ] As an admin user, I can import video work types and the metadata is imported and saved in the correct format To Do:
[ ] Derivative Rodeo configuration
[ ] Update IIIF print to work with derivative rode and to test and reconfigure
[ ] Video closed captions are in the manifest

Migrate Compound Objects

bulkrax compatible

PDF thumbnails provided? Or do you want the default? Are there any files they do not want to generate thumbnails for with the uploading - test a PDF upload on staging and start importing if good
Audio thumbnails provided? Or do you want the default?

@jillpe I think this looks fine, other than newspaper being missing right now.

@markpbaggett because newspapers will come in a separate milestone, I kept all of that criteria contained in the Newspaper SOW ticket

Compound Objects Meeting Notes:

Goal is to have different types of media in one work playing together in the viewer
Will all your compound objects be parent-child relationships?
- Mark thinks so. This may be a question for Shana and Alisha: currently, a piece of a compound object can be part of a compound object, part of many compound objects, or its own work. All parts need to be works, because sometimes it will be a standalone work in its own collection
- There will a parent work that contains all the works that will be associated together. The other works will stand alone.
Can you provide a little more context on the compound object relationships between parents and children? We know you want the parent to have an association with all of the children, can you tell us why?
- There are works in the current repository that are 1 work with 1 or more works inside of them. These are different from books because the parts can stand alone in the wild. These parts can be mixed media, has metadata explicitly about itself, and creators/authors/titles specifically about itself. They can also have filesets like closed captioning.
- It’s ok to switch the relationship between parents and children to model things in opposite direction
A canvas has its own metadata. This aligns with how UTK does their compound objects.
With books or compound objects, we don’t want a preservation file to go to the viewer ,or else we would see 2 images per page.
