When we stitch from meta data, is seems to take a long time to find the stage positions from the meta data files. The plugin spends a ton of time populating meta data. Is there a way to speed this up? Populating meta data takes longer than stitching itself in most cases for my applications. Therefore, I'm encouraged to go back to your old stitch OME tiffs plugin, which is much faster.
The Prairie file format would be a good candidate for reimplementation here, and we could address performance issues as part of the refactoring.
