Padding looks better, but something else changes. There's much more text included now:

Yeah, it is basically showing some content by default. Isn't good to have it? It is already present in default theme.

If we want very quick search then may be we can try https://www.algolia.com/

Maybe, not sure what's better. Perhaps it helps. I'm happy either way I think.
