Use case: meta-analysis #2

meta-analysis data sets are often collected by lots of different people, and this could be a cool way to do it. that is, each user can have their own fork, contribute data back to the master repo, and a leader of the data collection effort can review before merging into the master data set

as they go they can easily access data via this client.

when publishing the paper, they can refer to their github repo, and/or submit to a proper scholarly repository (e.g., Dryad)

post-publication: hopefully people will get interested, and contribute data back to the github repo, doing more analyses, etc. -> leading to WORLD DOMINATION
