Have to use $e1, $e2, etc instead of just 1, 2, etc. #189

Hi folks,

Not sure why this stopped working, but using the numeric file shortcuts no longer works:

numeric_file_shortcuts

Any ideas?

Facepalm... Someone made a file named 1 in the repo. That was the issue.
