this would allow the end user not to have to be able to do those conversions on the clumsy openssl command line interface

I'd really love to have this kind of support. Of all the features that this tool has, this is the *one* missing feature that nags me constantly.

This is now finally implemented in svn, and will be included in the next Portecle > 1.3 release.
