GNOME 45 has a new, nifty workspace switcher (aka "activities indicator") that's a lot cleaner than the traditional 10 dots

Sorry for the late answer. I don't know if that's easily possible with the way I setup the workspace switcher (Everything's an icon at the moment). Implementing this would require some major rewrites, so this is going to be a low priority for me for the time being.
