Can two machines log in on one account with gold subscription #54

Hi, Got a subscription for my machine but there are others in the house. I gave my son credentials but his machine is failing to log in. I'm wondering if that's due to a restriction. If not, suggestions on how to debug would be appreciated.

sharing accounts is not allowed.
