Issue with publishing customization. This message ("Importing solution") never ends and solutions does not import #35

Hello, @scottdurow I'm not able to publish any customization through ribbon workbench. And it shows no errors. It's just keep spinning, saying "Importing solution". The instance is CRM Online, v1710 (9.1.0.35). It used to work fine but we had a problem on this instance:

Org was down because: "two dbs hit error (at the data center I asume). The dbs have geo secondary on north Europe. We managed to recreate db from secondary. There was no data loss" - That's what I get as an answer from Microsoft support.

I have a feeling these two issues are connected somehow between each other, maybe not. I opened a support request at Microsoft but they said that crm is working fine and "you should search what is wrong with xrm toolbox".

I use publish solution with 1 entity. It's hanging on "Importing solution" without any error. It just never ends and doesn't import. I tried to clear cache, to clear and reimport, still no result.

Help me out, Scott!)) I tried everything I think.

@zeusfaber Did you ever find a solution for this? I am finding the same problem, in an onpremise V9 instance though, but maybe your experience can give me some clue.

@rgomezj didi you check the permissions are setup correctly? Account running async service can write to the import folder, registry and is deployment admin?

Same here for on-prem v9. Ribbon Workbench worked fine until today and now it spins at "Importing Solution" for hours without success. I have confirmed that the Async service account has read/write on the import folder, and that it is a deployment admin to no avail. Not sure what else has changed recently, except that I applied some windows server updates to crm machine.

Any thoughts or suggestions?
