Do you mean the onboarding process while getting up and going in a language/framework?

jlucasps commented 9 years ago

Learning new language/framework is more frequent on our days, but I didn't want restrict only to that. I meant learning anything that can brings some value to us, professionally or not.

Code katas come to mind. We should seek out deliberate practice which IMHO is the same as learning. I like it. :+1:

scottefein commented 9 years ago

I was including that inside of "I value curiosity and exploration", but we could expand that. Deliberate practice, constant state of learning... Not sure exactly how to frame that

brendensoares commented 9 years ago

@scottefein where is "I value curiosity and exploration"?

What about "continuous improvement" or "always be improving"? Kind of similar to exploring, learning, trying new things, but regularly and purposefully.

scottefein commented 9 years ago

Ha! I removed that I guess. Currently we have: We value curiosity and exploration over adherance to standards. This all seems related so what about...

We value curiosity, exploration, and continuous improvement over adherence to standards or the status quo.
