led.py test not working as intended #236

I'm running led.py to see if all is good. The commenting says that the led strip should be off but my led strip lights up all orange instead and you can see a green and red pixel scroll across but never blue. The strandtest.py from rpi_ws281x works for me perfectly. I am using a 3.3v-5v level shifter. Any insight? Using a Raspberry Pi 3 B+
