Thematic HTML5 Plugin #2

I'll take a guess we no longer need to use this plugin if using the beta? http://invistruct.com/wordpress-plugins/thematic-html5/

Yup, that is correct.

Karin is the one who made the plugin, so she incorporated all of it into the Themtic theme. It is pretty impressive that she was able to make all that backwards compatible with old themes too. :)

Does this apply to thematic 1.0.4? Thanks

The html5 plugin is needed for 1.0.4, if you want to use html5 markup.

Since the upcoming version will have html5 markup built-in, the plugin will no longer be necessary from 2.0 and forwards.

We are currently testing with WordPress 4.0 beta, and are aiming to get the theme released shortly after WP 4.0 is ready. That means around the end of August.
