General - Auction House #277

As part of my Operation AH Kick-Start initiative I've been posting tons of items to the AH. I've had my client crash when posting to the AH randomly (or so it seemed).

I deactivated all addons and reproduced the issue. My guess was a limit on posting so I started tracking the # of posts and found a ceiling of 50 items. I just ran a test with 50 items successfully posted and no crashes, then crashed on the 51st post. Once the auctions complete then I have less than 50 posts and can post again without crashing until I go above the 50 item limit.

This limit is per character as I've used several characters on a single account to manage my banking and AH posting. One character crashing doesn't affect other characters on the same account (as long as they're below the 50 item ceiling).

Also, I've noticed when I go above the 50 item limit I can view the AH, but when I go to view my 'auctions' tab the client crashes again. I can re-log on a character that crashes and still play the game as long as I don't try to interact with the AH.

This seems to have been a issue back in retail as well, it also seems to still be an issue on private servers as a whole after some research. Unfortunately the only thing you can do is to either keep below the 50 items cap or put up auctions over several characters.

This is not fixed don't know why closed..

Anyway this needs to be tested. I think because a player can only view a maximum of 50 auctions. He can post tnumber 51 without any problem but as soon he return back to his auction page he crashed probarly because a "second" viewing tab aint made all i can think of atm.
