It's just the DB values needs to be checked / corrected, they should be friendly for Alliance and not neutral / hostile for horde. There might be a "glitch" with range view while a distant creature appaers hostile for a player but, when getting near the creature, it shows it as neutral. This may be caused because, the creature is neutral. Reason why it's saying invalid target is because, you as Alliance can't attack them.
Account Name: Gwerf Map & Area: Stonetalon Peak, Stonetalon Mountains (all around coords 36, 12) What happens: The treants appear to be hostile, but are not attackable ("Invalid Target" popup when you try) nor do they aggro to you when you walk up to them. When you turn on nameplates, they are yellow rather than red.
Additional info: I believe they are summoned via http://db.wowascension.com/?spell=7993 (Summon Treant Ally) - they are not http://db.wowascension.com/?npc=5806.
