2.0.0-RC1 is on it's way to Maven with support for 2.12.16. I'll update the sbt plugin shortly. This will turn into 2.0.0 in the next week if there are no issues.

@Christewart please open a new issue and include proper reproduction details, if you believe the root cause of the problem is here in this repo. (Saying "see our CI matrix" doesn't really qualify as a bug report, nor does "This does not work.")
