can't be opened because Apple cannot check it for malicious software. #178

Expected Behavior

Scratch Link and its installers should open without warnings on all supported configurations.

Actual Behavior

On macOS 10.15 "Catalina" the user is presented with a warning similar to: "scratch-link-1.3.57.pkg" can't be opened because Apple cannot check it for malicious software. This software needs to be updated. Contact the developer for more information.

Steps to Reproduce

  1. Use a Mac with macOS 10.15 "Catalina"
  2. Download scratch-link-1.3.57.pkg
  3. Attempt to run it

Workaround

Right-click the PKG and pick "open" to bypass the warning.

This happens because the file is not notarized
