EV3: gets stuck when attempting to pair on Windows #1591

Expected Behavior

EV3 should pair successfully when pairing for the first time with a user's machine.

Actual Behavior

EV3 is stuck forever, there is an hourglass graphic on the LED screen.

Steps To Reproduce

I got here by trying to pair with the EV3 on a Windows Tablet, and after typing in the ‘1234’ pin, for some reason it didn’t let me click the ‘checkmark’ button when it showed me a list of computers to choose from, and then I got stuck

What version of your EV3 firmware? (Is it older than 1.4.2?) Also, do you use Scratch Link?

I've experienced a similar behavior in the past, when I connected an EV3 with old firmware to a Windows PC, using naive Bluetooth connection without Scratch Link.

Thanks for the tip! We will investigate, not quite sure what firmware we are using currently.

Could be unrelated to Scratch Link, and be OS-level.
